Gulf Consult defeated Technosat by 65 runs to win the Challenge Cup sponsored by Wabra International Coatings and Paints Company and organized by KOC cricket committee at the Ahmadi cricket ground last Friday. |

Technosat won the toss and invited Gulf Consult to bat first. Mastan gave Technosat two quick wickets when he removed Mohammad Khan for zero and Ameen for 8. However, opener Shahid Butt (Raja), the top scorer with 70 first with Sabtain(46) and Later with Abdullah (26) consolidated the GC innings taking the total past 150 runs. Gulf consult lost 4 more wickets but not before posting 189 for 8 wickets off 20 overs.Saleem Jr, Shamim and Mohammad Ali claimed one wicket each.

Technosat hopes of chasing this big toral received a big jolt when their in-form captain Saleem Kazi was out for only seven. Saleem Jr with cautions half century tried to revive Technosat hopes with opener Muneer (38) but some fine bowling by Abdullah (2 for 18) and Sabtain(1 for 20) restricted their total to 124 for 5. Abdul rehman Mani (1 for 21) and Habib (1 for 31) where the other Gulf Consult’s successful bowlers. |
