Kuwait's Future Star Navtej Singh
“Cricket is Life” , this is the motto of young All Rounder Navtej Singh who is presently residing in Kuwait. Navtej Singh was born on 16 th August 1991 in Jallandhar City of Punjab, India. The City itself is famous for its sports goods and sport personalities. Having moved to Kuwait in December 1996, his interest for sports, particularly Cricket was visible and well acknowledged by his family members. At the age of 9 he joined the local Cricketing club, CCC-Tally and since then there was no looking back. Under the excellent training from his Coaches, his talent kept improving.
In 2002, he was awarded as “Player of the Tournament” for KCWA cup and he also bagged the best fielder in 2003 for KCWA cup. His brilliant performance earned victory for his team in both the tournaments.

For CRY Tournament in November 2003, playing as a Vice Captain, he proved that he was a genuine all rounder. He performed equally well with the bat and the ball and achieved “Man of the Series” award with the victory for his team in the finals. He was also awarded as “Man of the Match” for Kuwait Orissa Association Cricket Tournament-2005.

He was selected in the Kuwait squad for the Asia Cup under-15 April 2005. He was representing the team as the Vice Captain and was named as “Man of the Match”. He scored a smashing 53 in the Quarter Finals against Malaysia. Although, the Kuwait team could not reach the Semi-Finals, his outstanding performance would not be side tracked. It was not a surprise that he was the only one to be selected to represent Kuwait for the Asia Dream-XI which played the series of 2 one-days and 2 two day test matches in Karachi Pakistan. He played a match saving innings of 51 not out in the first two day match which ended in a draw. Here too his performance was well praised by even his Pakistani – Counter parts.
Now a days he is attending the Camp under the supervision of Kuwait Cricket Association for Nepal tour.

This is just the beginning of his career and there are many more achievements awaiting for him in his promising and bright future.
