Star CC beat Skylark and Gulf Consult defeated Indian Strikers for the Cup and Plate Final in the prestigious league based cricket tournament of GC/MK (Electric) Cricket Trophy 2006 at their Cricket Grounds located in Sulaibiya Area on Friday the 28th April, 2006. 
This is the second consecutive year this tournament has been sponsored by the Kuwait Electrical Wiring Accessories Co. (MK Electric). In the best interests of emerging new teams.
Cup Final
In the Cup Final, Star CC beat Skylark by 4 wickets.  Skylark captain Salim won the toss and elected to bat.  Nissar and Rehan who opened the inning for Skylark, lost their first wicket at the score of 7.  At one stage they were reeling  at 50 for 4 in 10 overs.  The good contribution from Mario (34) and Ajith (25) helped Skylark to set a modest target of 149  before being all out in allotted 25 overs.  Aalam Jaan of Star CC grab 2 for 19 in allotted 5 overs whereas Mumtaz, Zahid and Aslam  took 2 wickets each.
In reply Star CC openers Imran and Rasheed scored frequently to reach at 42 in seven overs before Imran departed at his individual 20 runs which contained 2 boundries.  After the departure of Rasheed for his individual 43 runs, Aalam Jaan scored 45 quick runs, played very entertaining cricket of aggression showing his beautifully executed stroke play managed to reach the target with 2 overs to spare for the loss of 6 wickets.
Ulfat of Skylark claim 19/3 whereas Mario bags 25/2 in allotted 5 overs.
Aalam Jaan of Star CC declared Man of the Match for his all round performances of 45 runs and 2 wickets.  The match was supervised by experienced umpires Naveen Dsouza and Francis Viegas.
